Although Dawson has been singing and performing most of his life, he began his professional music career six years ago working the indie circuit in local bars and festivals across Ontario. During this time, Dawson was also performing, recording and developing strong relationships in the music industry in Nashville. Taking advantage of every possible opportunity to perform, honing his skills as a vocalist, entertainer and songwriter, his hard work and dedication have begun to pay off on both sides of the border. Dawson now spends equal time at his residence in Cambridge and in Nashville.

"Everything's perfectly aligned," explains the talented singer/songwriter who has trained under Canadian rock icon, Ray Lyell and Nashville's own Renee Grant-Williams, vocal coach to Grammy Award winning artists Faith Hill, The Dixie Chicks and Keith Urban.

In 2007, Dawson was introduced to Jason Barry - one of Canada's most respected producers. After meeting Dawson and listening to his music, Jason agreed to produce Dawson's debut album at his Barrytone Studios in Waterloo, ON. Dawson is currently in studio finishing recording with an expected 2010 spring release for the full album - debut single released to radio January 11, 2010

Dawson was a State runner-up in the renowned Colgate Country Showdown in the United States, previously won by Tim McGraw and Martina McBride. Dawson has also performed as the opening act at the 2007 Canada Day Jam hosted by CMT and Country 95.3. Shortly after the Canada Day Jam, Dawson was requested to perform at a private VIP event at the historic Hard Rock Cafe in Toronto. In July 2008 Dawson was again sharing the stage with his good friends Aaron Pritchett, Jessie Farrell and Gord Bamford at the Fergus Truck Show.

This is what award winning video director Stephano Barberis (Arkadia Pictures Incorporated) had to say about Dawson - "Rarely does an unsigned talent like this gain so much of my respect so quickly. From the first moment of hearing Dawson's music, my producer and I knew there was something magic there, and Im sure this is the harbinger of all great established artists. I am convinced that we are seeing a very unique artist in the making - one whose impact will be rather massive in the years to come."

It's clear that Dawson's star is rising fast and he is a performer looking to make his mark in country music!
